In 1994, the first branch of Jamia-tul-Madina was established in Godhra Colony, Karachi. Later, in 1995, another branch was opened in Sabz Market, and in 1996, the third branch was inaugurated in Faizan-e-Madina, Kahna Nau, Lahore. I am honored to have been the first student enrolled in Jamia-tul-Madina, Faizan-e-Madina, Kahna Nau, Lahore. By the grace of Almighty Allah, I have had the opportunity to witness almost every phase of Jamia-tul-Madina since its inception.
Those associated with institutional management understand that running an institution, steering its system according to one's vision and objectives, and ensuring its continuous growth is an extremely challenging task. Institutions are not run by issuing commands while sitting on a bed of roses, but rather by sacrificing one's comfort and enduring hardships. While managing a single institution can be sufficient for a lifetime, those devoted to preserving the faith of future generations find thousands of institutions still insufficient to achieve their noble goals.
The honorable Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Allama Maulana Abu Bilal Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadri (دامت فیوضاتهم القدسیہ) has always envisioned that at least one scholar should be present in every household. It is the blessings of this pure thought that the journey from one branch to two, then to three, and beyond has continued. Jamia-tul-Madina was founded at the end of the 20th century, and at the beginning of the 21st century, a great revolutionary step was taken within Dawat-e-Islami—an initiative that further flourished its religious activities. That significant and blessed step was the establishment of the Central Advisory Council of Dawat-e-Islami.
On September 21, 2000, Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Allama Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadri (دامت فیوضاتهم القدسیہ) formed the Central Advisory Council, breathing new life into Dawat-e-Islami.
It is said:
"The action of a wise person is never devoid of wisdom."
After the establishment of the Advisory Council, numerous new departments were introduced within Dawat-e-Islami, and the existing ones saw unprecedented progress. The journey of Jamia-tul-Madina, which began in 1994, had reached 12 branches by the time the Central Advisory Council was formed. Today, 1,124 branches of Jamia-tul-Madina have been established.
However, Jamia-tul-Madina is not just the name of an institution—it is a whole world within itself. You will be pleasantly surprised to know that 16 different departments operate under Jamia-tul-Madina, each dedicated to enhancing students' abilities and modernizing the system. It is impossible to cover all these departments in this brief message, but in summary:
May Almighty Allah accept this institution and bless it with everlasting success:
"O Allah, keep this institution firm and steadfast,
May its blessings continue to flow day and night."
